Off to Colorado!

I am off to Colorado tomorrow. Frantically getting things tied up so I can go. I just checked the Whitefish weather forcast for this afternoon's Harvest Market and it shouldn't rain, which is good. It will be in the low 40's, though.

Just posted all new photographs in my shop on line. Check them out!

Shows, Markets and Open Houses

I got completely rained out at yesterday's market. I thought my canopy was water proof, and it was for a bit, I guess...

Just a quick post to let you know where I will be selling my wares over the next 6 weeks or so before December.

Tuesday 21st October - Whitefish Harvest Festival - 4-6pm

Friday October 24th - 9th Annual Diva Party at Kristin's house in Denver, CO

Friday-Saturday November 7-9 - Holiday show at The Majestic Valley Arena in Kalispell

Friday-Saturday November 28-30 - Artists and Craftsmen of the Flathead annual Holiday show at the Red Lion in Kalispell

I am hoping to get into a show in Missoula in December, but still am not sure.

Kalispell Farmers Market

Last Kalispell Farmers Market of the season! 6:00am and I'm off to get my place in line. I joined an Etsy team this week, although I am not too sure what that means. It is a group of Montana artisans who promote and sell their work on Etsy. You can find their collection if you go to http://www.etsy.com/ and type "montanateam" into the search space.

Jewelry Photography 101

This is a result of my second jewelry photography lesson and I am very pleased with the results. I will spend the day building a light box and getting myself set up to shoot some new and improved photos for my Etsy shop. This necklace is in my Etsy shop www.allisonkallaway.etsy.com and costs $75.00.

Fairy Princess Necklace

I collected these seed beads on a "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" type journey through rural Czech Republic. We visited the little factory shops where they make beads, but the shops are only open for an hour or 2 a day. Bead foraging followed by meals of bland broth, processed meat, dumplings and fantastic beer made for an interesting journey. I highly recommend it, but get a driver to take you around!

Center of the Universe

I am finally feeling like I have recovered from our vacation, returning last Sunday. In our travels we visted 2 places that claim to be the center of the universe. Wallace, Idaho and Fremont, Washington, which is a suburb of Seattle.
